"Oh....." came Deyrni's simple reply. He didn't show it, but Auorium's comment hurt him. He was so desperate for a friend, and his first chance....ever....was wasted. he sighed, and set Auorium down.

"Okay, I'll let you go. But you'd better let me look at that tail before you go."

He pulled out from under his cloak, a roll of bandages. He expertly bandadged Auorium's tail in a few seconds, and he then proceeded to bandage his own arm. After he was done, he put the remaining bandages back under his cloak. He stood up, and started to trudge away slowly and sadly twoards the South.
