I gasp and holds her head. "She's finally out!" I let go of her mare's head and watches the mare until she stops and stands queitly, she had stopped cleaning the foal. I walk quickly over to the filly and brush down some palomino threads of the baby's hair. I give her a tiny push over to the mare's nipple, urging her to nurse. Finally she reaches out and drinks. "Deliah." I whisper, looking and petting my new foal. I look to see her marking. 3 socks and a blaze. Welsh cob/thoroughbred mix. I pat her buddox and smile at the doctor. "Thank you ma'am." I take my mare's lead rope and know that the filly will follow. They enter a big, spacious trailer and are on their way home.
