W'menel stood up as R'geto spoke.
Smiling, he extended his hand.
"Yes, I wanted to see you. Firstly, from me, welcome to Minerva. I'm sorry that I didn't formally greet you when you arrived but this Weyr has had me busy since I got here. Now with a Clutch nearing the due date to Hatch, I've been busier than ever."

"Don't let him fool you with his stuff about 'work'."
Willmina kidded and set down three cups of klah having noticed R'geto's entrance. She saw W'menel look at her and nodded. "Go ahead."

"R'geto, we both know that you are new to this Weyr. We also know that things at your own Weyr were not the best.We want you to feel that you both have anew home here."
W'menel started. "We also know there was something of a flap that came about between your Rireth and my Lerath and N'gal's Adirath. As Weyrleader I have spoken to my dragon and to N'gal, telling him to talk to his blue, and get this to stop. As far as we know, it has."
He nodded towards Willmina when he said that and continued.
"We need seasoned riders here. With nearly a full Clutch of Weyrlings expected, we need riders that believe in Minerva.
Both of us are not about to permit any dragon or dragons to come between us and this goal. There is one thing I would ask of you and that is to remember that my brown and N'gal's blue have suffered some injustice at the hands of bronzes both have known in the past. It will take time to heal these old wounds. I'm hoping you and Rireth can understand that."

The Weyrleader and Weyrwoman looked up as N'gal entered with his new brown flit. Willmina beckoned him over before she had something to say.
