You could also only have a female child.

You each donate an egg. Each egg provides one half of the needed DNA strand. You would have to inject the DNA from one strand into the other (think of this as a "manual insertion") under a very high powered microscope.

Assuming the egg was then deemed viable, you would re-implant the egg into the uterus of the person who would carry it to term.

The success rate on a typical inemination is about 15%. On this one, it would be less than 5%. So, you may have to do this twenty or more times--over 40 or more months. EACH ATTEMPT would cost around $100,000.00 (although you could save a little by taking enough hormones that you each release several eggs prior to the egg retrieval process.)

So can it be done? Yes. Will it be? Probably not.
