One long term thing..... We would probably need a type of hospital, and people who are certified...

The hospital would have to be pretty extensive many things can happen unexpectantly some worse than others and you would not want to attract alot of attention with the hospital reaports. The more extensive the better.(I think)

basic, of course, minor cuts & burns, but if someone got pregnant and wanted their child to be born in a beautiful place, not a white room with "labcoat" people running around;Would we have the necessary's for things like that, or would we just send them to a hospital?
More things(annoyances, at most) Alergy's, some people are Really alergic to certain things; plants(kept in mind when we choose an area to build), foods, animals(ditto), etc. we could import them at need, or have a supply of them ready.

I was thinking like cancer treatment and really extensive stuff like that. Assorted surguries and such.

It is important to note that it is illegal to practice medicine without a license. So unless we pull a Patch Adams (LOL), then we'll need to have certified nurses and/or doctors on site. I would like to have at least two nurses available on campus at all times, to make house calls and deal with minor illnesses as they occur (i.e., minor cuts and scrapes, common cold, etc.; anything that can be treated with basic medicines). If we want to go the whole route of surgeries and birthing (which, I would rather have an elf doctor available for birthing, but whatever you want), we would need a larger facility for that, and we probably could not build it on private land. We would need a plot of land that is zoned for that type of thing. Also, if we keep it privately funded (pay for it ourselves), we should have no problems keeping it a private hospital, available only to our kind.
We would also have to staff this hospital, and we need doctors and nurses for that. I do not know if there are any elves out there that practice medicine. We would probably have to send some to school, and "create" our own doctors and nurses. I don't think I have to tell you that it takes several years to complete medical schooling. In the meantime, we would have to rely on human hospitals to take care of us, at least until we can get a nurse or two on campus. I know that's not the most ideal thing, but unless you all know several certified doctors/nurses, that's something we'll have to wait a while on.

hospital. i don't think legally ANYWHERE we could run our own private hospital but i was thinking along the lines of an emergency room. we treat what we can and the serious stuff goes to a real hospital. a couple nuses, maybe a doctor, of course a midwife
