Subject: Thoughts after watching Primrose Empath

I find it interesting that ppl have concluded that Cole can be turned good after watching him interact with Phoebe. In case you have forgotten, Cole's plan is to get close to Phoebe as a way of getting to The Charmed Ones and finishing them off. So Phoebe did what he always wanted and slept with him. That, alone, can't be used to conclude that he can be turned good. Other things would have to happen, although I don't know what those would be. If you looked at his double-crosses, like setting up Troxa, you might conclude that he did them out of knowing that ordinary demons can't ever defeat The Charmed Ones. He wants to drag this out some further. Belthezor has a master plan. That's why you saw Cole's shadow being called back to him before the shadow reports back to the Triad. So the shadow is actually an invention by the Triad to keep tabs on Belthazor and not part of Belthazor's powers. Very interesting indeed.

Here's the set-up for the episode: Belthazor plays tricks on Prue, who is more seen inside cars these days, by directing her to an abandoned building. There, Prue comes to the conclusion that something's up inside that building and that is confirmed by a construction worker. So she gets inside and hears someone crying inside a dinky apartment, gets the idea to come inside and sees a man(who's actually a demon) crying and pleading for help. Here's where I would agree that Shannen did a fine job in the exposition for this particular episode. The fact that Shannen can show how her character can express the many facets in one episode erases a lot of doubts of her acting abilities.

Back to the episode itself. After she does the selfless thing and absorb the power the demon had, watch how Prue picks up the emotions of her immediate friends and relatives. She plays the conselor who helps couples with their problems. Hehe. The most interesting, obviously, is convincing Pheebs to go after Cole. Did Prue really felt that Cole is really smitten over Pheebs? I am not sure of that. What is becoming clear, though, is that Cole has succeeded in having Pheebs as his girlfriend. Wait and see how he takes advantage of that.

Something about this episode has me thinking that the two Prue-centric episodes(this and Sight Unseen) is setting us up to the major conflice between her and Pheebs over Cole. The reason is because whenever Prue and Pheebs have a conflict it's about Cole. I would like to be right about this one because it would be very entertaining. :)

Other thoughts:
-Coming towards the end, I was thinking that the priest would absorb back the power from Prue. Wrong again. :)
-I loved that scene where Cole calls back the shadow and almost got caught when the shadow left him to attempt to tell the Triad. ^_^
-Also loved that scene at the dentist's office. Now that was hilarious. :D
-Oh yeah. Pheebs and Cole did the nasty. :D
