Subject: Thoughts after watching Power Outrage

This one would go down as one of the usual "middle" episode. Power Outrage would not be in everyone's minds, I predict, when all is said and done in Charmed-verse. Nevertheless, it does have a certain turning point in the progression of the characters, plots, etc.. It centers, mostly, on the ever-more-interesting Cole/Phoebe story arc. As you U.S.-based fans now know, Pheebs has been the focal point of Belthazor's master plan to get to the Charmed Ones and destroy them. He has tried various things in order to succeed, mostly using Pheebs. Now that he's been completely smitten by her, are his days numbered? Certainly, killing his bosses would not help matters for him. Either he resolves to kill the Charmed Ones(and/or die trying) or he turns on everyone else who's evil and die as well. It's not looking good for Cole.

Something struck me while watching this episode. It could perhaps be that Phoebe stopped being a weak before Belthazor started scheming. What we are witnessing is that the other two sisters' weaknesses are being glared more than Pheebs' weaknesses. How long have I waited to see if Piper being taken for granted would come out as a major issue? I now see all that repressed energy bursting out from her. It's funny that it took a demon to do just that. Piper should've done this some time ago, before the demon would take advantage of the Charmed Ones.

This is another thing that has me thinking. The Elders have told them through Leo that they have felt the effects of the Charmed Ones fighting amongst each other and losing their powers as a result. Of course, the Charmed Ones being more vulnerable would jeopardize the Elders' safety in the long run. Yet, it's amazing to see that an organization that is so distant from what's going on on Earth would say how it's been affected. Like why wouldn't they show their faces or send another demigod, instead of plain ol' Leo again?

Other thoughts:
- Was that a blooper I saw? I thought the Triad and the Source are two different evil organizations. Now this one boss tells Cole that he betrayed the SOURCE. Then he forms that fireball that we saw from Litvack in "Give Me A Sign". I'm really confused. :(
- Nice to see Piper standing up to somebody, even if she was influenced into doing it. Hehe...LOL...:)
- The weak link is really Piper, not Phoebe. Pheebs can defend herself and has new power, although she's still vulnerable due to her search for everlasting love. Piper only has her freeze power and doesn't like to fight at all. She doesn't hone any martial arts skills that much. Prue and Pheebs are doing most of the physical work.
- I wonder if it was real life how much money is spent cleaning up after demon attacks?
- Where was Darryl in all of this?
- And for that matter, why haven't we seen Abbey in a jail cell yet? Hehe

Phoebe: From now on, we should let out all our feelings to each other.
Piper: Well...I disagree. Especially since demons can use some of them to their advantage.
Phoebe: OK. Then most of them.

Leo: Why don't you serve them chips and dips.
Piper: Leo, I'm a chef. Now why would I make chips and dips?!

Phoebe: Leo, can you look like Brad Pitt next time?
