-a deep, contented sigh reverberates from the gargantuan lupine, every sense confused dulling to a sleepy placidness and then jumping to an excited flurry of alertness. carefully he picks his way through the den, the various bones and rubbish left there, and barks sharply to remind the few remaining wolves to leave for a while. and then he turns back to his mate, pleasure written plainly on his dark features. and he goes to her, and he mates with her. it is brief, but beatiful, and when he draws away from her again he as a deep sense of completion, of delight and extrodinary pleasure. this time when he creeps forward again he lends his maw, gently stroking her jaw and then her neck, burying his muzzle into her coarse fur, happy just to be standing there by her side...-
