I think they are just regular men with a preference. My brother prefers very small blondes or Asian girls. Everyone has their own physical preferences when looking for a mate and that is not a bad thing! I know I certainly have my preferences although I am not shallow about it, I would not exclude someone because they werent my exact ideal...very few people meet their exact ideal anyway (mine is ralph fiennes or denzel washington depending on what day you ask me, hehe).
Like other women I dont wont to be loved just for my fat body though. I used to think that it was kind of a good thing that I was a big girl because when I met someone I knew they were not going to be with me just for my body, that they must love my mind...then I found FAs! lol
I think that just like regular men, there are some FAs who may use you for your fat body, but I also know there are MANY totally sweet FAs who, though they do prefer a larger body, are totally looking for something deeper.
I met my boyfriend on an IRC bbw channel but I wouldnt classify him as an FA at all. Before me he dated one girl around my size (or maybe a bit bigger he said) and the
others have been "average" or maybe chubby. Basically he likes women with some "meat on their bones" big hips, thighs, butt...however thats not really important to him. I remember shortly after we had been dating he said something to me like "I am off big women now" and I am like where the hell does that leave me? And he said I like YOU, big or small. THATS why I do have a preference for that kind of man, rather than a hardcore FA. I know that if I got sick, or if I just decided I wanted to lose weight that my boyfriend would love me just the same and the sex would be just as good, lol. With an FA things may not be the same, same with men who prefer smaller women often lose interest in their wives if they gain weight. This is not RIGHT, but I dont think they can help it if their preferences are so strong. Of course I think if you really love someone then that stuff shouldnt matter, but I think that humans are built that way..we have preferences and there are very few of us (if any) that can truly ignore them.
All in all, I am glad there are FAs. Hell everybody was an FA not more than a hundred years ago! Ever heard of Lillian Russell, the sexpot of the last turn of the century was 200 pounds at her peak. And no one needs to be reminded of all the full-figured art/worship through the last few thousand years up until very recently! FAs are normal to me, and I am glad they exist to balance the scales a bit in this fat-hating world.
