I guess there's not much more you can do besides what you have already done. I'm sorry you had to go through all that nastiness. I can only say that because of your intelligence, charm and wit displayed on the newsgroup, that your weight was probably the only thing she could "find fault with" or attack.

Along a similar vein, it irks me when my friends make comments about my weight. I know that often it is done not to be hurtful but it's funny that people wouldn't dare say certain things regarding sexual preference or religion or race, but they will be the first ones in line to tell you how much or how little you are eating!

A close friend of mine just the other day said "when are you getting your big fat ass over to visit me?" He was totally offended and appalled when I answered "it's a two way street..you can always get your faggot ass over here"

now I would NEVER even imagine ordinarily saying that ...it wouldn't even cross my mind. However, I was tired of lil barbs popping in with every conversation.

He finally got the point.
