We are not familiar with the structure at Bedford but supporters certainly have been able to buy shares in Moseley and some people have done so in the past. For practical administrative reasons we think these have been in minimum batches of about £500. We are advised that the Company Secretary of the club(who is a lawyer) advised there there are statutory reporting requirements if a general offer of shares is made. This would include the production of a detailed and formal prospectus which is very expensive and would probably cost a number of times what the club would get in from issuing the shares.

If anyone is interested in buying shares they could make enquiries in confidence to the club at info@moseleyrugby.co.uk and we will pass this on the relevent experts on this within the club.

I hold shares in Moseley rugby club. I couldn't really afford to buy them when I did but, at the time I did, the survival of Moseley was paramount. Come on Mooooooooooooose. ( short Mooooooooooose )

As £500 is beyond what most supporters can afford is this something that the MSA could do? Perhaps asking fans for a one-off donation that would be used to buy shares and/or having a bucket collection to support this?

The MSA would not be able to purchase shares, however if people were interested in a donation scheme that goes directly to the club, then this is something we may be able to look at if enough people were interested. If you are and have suggestions then please email moseleysupporters2010@gmail.com
