Subject: farewell to this old message board

Sadly, it's time to bid farewell to this old message board, and pass on the baton to the newly re-invigorated Supporters Association who will run a much improved board along with their website.
This board first started in February 2002, leading the campaign to keep Mose in Brum. Since then it has carried news of promotions & relegations; arrivals & departures; great wins & strange losses; births, deaths, & marriages; the rumours, arguments, fantasies and facts that make life with Moseley so entertaining. Since then coaches, players, stands, oppositions and even whole grounds have come and gone. Our opposition at the time included Rugby Lions, Manchester, Newbury, Bracknell and Orrell. We've not faired too badly by comparison have we?

So thanks to (nearly) all contributors for keeping it lively, may we continue to “live in interesting times” for the next nine years.

This old board will close to new messages in a few days time

Dave, thanks for keeping it going for all these years. I'll never forget following the text updates on here, especially that dramatic fightback at London Welsh a few seasons back.

Thank you so much.

My favourite memory was posting the news of Moseley being saved from Kassam and Oxford at 5pm on that wonderful day. I so much wanted to be first but someone beat me to it!

Anyway, thanks for all the hard work in keeping it going so long.

Come on Mose!

Favourite memories of this board? - Reading here that we'd secured the Billesley ground, then the pics of Smithy arriving among the mud piles where the pitch was to be.

Such relief, what excitement.

Thank you Dave for setting up and administering this over the last decade. Don't know were we'd all have been without this place to express frustrations, praise, share joy and sadness and debate among good Mose folk (and unfortunately others occasionally!) My favourite moments -the start of it and the pure joy after we won at HQ. Great job Dave.

Thanks all, it's been fun. But, like banging your head against the wall, it's nice when it stops!!

I understand the need for a new secure web site but I am worried to death about it because I won't have the first idea what to do about it. If any kind soul out there would be willing to telephone this poor old pensioner at some convenient time on 0121 472 3787 and talk me through how to this, that or the other with the new web site - actualy I can manage the other 'the other', as it were, now and again, but not the web site 'the other' - then I would be most grateful. With kind regards to you all it's going to be bye bye for now or thanks for the memories. I hope it is the former. Come on Moooooooooooooooooooooooooooooose.

Phil, as a Mose supporter you're clearly a man of great intelligence and discernment, so it won't be beyond your powers. Try this:

1)Follow the link to the new board, then click on Register (near the top right of the home page).

2) Type a user name for your self ("philhall", for example), and then devise a password which you enter twice in the next two boxes.

3) Enter your email address in the two boxes after that.

4) Select your date of birth and gender from the drop-down lists.

5) Read the obscured text in the CAPTCHA box, and type what you see in the empty box below (this is to prevent spambots from logging in). This is not case-sensitive.

6) Click on the button to say "I agree" to the T&C for the board.

7) Press the "Create Account" button.

8) On the next screen, enter the password that you created before, and press Login.

9) You should now receive an email with an activation key on it. It also has a clickable link which will automatically activate the account. Click on this link. If you are asked again to enter username and password, please do so. You can opt to be logged in automatically every time you visit.

10) You can now post anywhere on the board.

Phil, we'll look forward to seeing you on the new board, it just wouldn't be the same without your pithy observations.

So, come on Mooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooose .....
