Subject: Plymouth for a Pound?

I have an idea - it may be a daft one but I'll put it forward anyway.

I read on the front page of our web site that we field 16 teams of all ages. That adds up to a lot of players - not counting fathers, mothers, wifes, husbands, partners etc.Obviously, judging from attendances, not too many of these make it to matches. I guess many are playing or have other committments.

As a thank you to all those who have turned out for any of the Moseley teams this year how about a special offer for the the last home game of the season, Plymouth on the 16th April, of £1 entry to all players who have represented the club during the year (the logistics of identifying bona-fide players will need to be worked out of course)and £5 entry for one family member/guest.

Obviously the day will hopefully be a 'celebration' of survival for the 1st team but it would also be nice to see a much bigger crowd to cheer the team on.

I've no idea whether any of this is possible or 'legal' but as I said at the beginning it's just a thought.

Don't all the M&J's have free membership to all 1st XV games as part of their subs? That accounts for all teams from U16 down to micros (that's eleven teams I think?). The senior colts play on Saturday afternoon's and if there are any junior colts available they could be making up the colts squad. Ifthey finish early, they watch and support the 1st XV if they are playijng afterwards. That leaves Moseley Oak whose own games wouldbe played on the Saturday afternoon and whose players would not be available and the women's XV, some of whom do come anyway to help out when needed. I can't really see how we would attract any more people than we already do now.

good idea Gary, fair enough if the m&js are covered at least it would be a good deal for the parents and an alround win,the young player see's the first team, the parents can help support and see the larger picture of the club etc, keep the ideas flowing.

All Women players, Colts, Juniors and Minis have free admission to all 1st XV home games.

The Moseley Players Association AGM and Reunion will boost the crowd on 16 April.

'Special Offer' tickets are available until 15 April, at £10 per adult or £7 per senior.

Please use any spare tickets in season ticket book for friends and family.

Group discounts may be available by contacting the Club office, but payment must be made in advance.
