but surely the reason oasis were big in the first place is cos of the tunes - i've never met anyone who likes Oasis cos they're rockstars or they're in the papers a lot - they like em cos the songs are great - yeh of course they're in the papers all the time and that but that's cos they wrote tunes like champagne supernova which everyone thought was wicked so everyone bought so it got into the charts and they got big etc. etc. Oasis aren't a media product or anything - It's just the press once they get hold of things (ie. Liam) they do it to death. I love his voice man, it's just you hear it an it sticks out (in a good way) he's made his mark ent he? loads of kids just wanna be him os he just does what he wants and don't give a f**k really - whether that's good or not i dunno... - he wants to imitate Ian Brown? let the man do it - I wanna be Paul Weller, Pete Townshend, Syd Barrett and John Lennon all at once, I'm sure you wanna be whatshisface guitarist outta Radiohead (Matt summat? Ed?) or Kevin Shields.
And as for noel, how can you say that the man who wrote supersonic, cigarettes and alcohol, champagne supernova, live forever, it's a crime, whatever, headshrinker, fade away, listen up, rockin chair, take me away, let's all make believe, roll it over, it's better people, slide away, force of nature and hindutimes should be playing in the pubs?!!! Fair enough, tho it's your viewpoint and I respect it but it's lost on me. At least you ent stickin up for Will f**king Young that's one positive for both sides.
