Any repotted cacti, especially rarer ones, should be kept TOTALLY DRY for 2-4 weeks after the repotting process and certainly NOT put out in the elements -especially 'Melbourne's elements'.
Depending on how precious they are to you would depend on whether you go to the trouble of repotting them back into dry soilmix or take a punt at survival.
Put it this way, if this happened to me repotting big old Melocactus with cephaliums (at about $100 a pop) I could pretty well guarantee that everyone would eventually rot out - a very expensive exercise!

Good luck with the lottery draw!
