Mycena
There was a very interesting article by Gavin Hart on different types of commercial cactus fruits (not succulents) that appeared in the January/March 2004 Cactus and Succulent Journal published by the Cactus and Succulent Society of NSW Inc.
It contained 52 species with numerous comments about each one, ranging from what to expect from taste, how long before fruit development, where grown, price per kilo, whether it makes jam, jelly, and even wine, or just eaten etc, etc.
If you don't have access I should be able to arrange a copy. If interested let me know.
Most would be easily adaptable to Australia - depending on Quarantine arrangements.

Are yu going to personally save the world from starvation?????? What a martyr!!!!!
