Sweat bears its duties heavily across her barrel, she is now moving around, the agony evident in her mistrusting eyes. She shifts her weight constantly, nibbling at the grass but hardly touching it. She sighs constantly and lays down a few times trying to relax, but now she instinctually is riven from the herd. She moves first a few hundred yards, then a few more. Soon she is out of sight in the hills where she drops to her knees crying out softly, regaining herself she moves on heading south. She had to get down south, before the days end. She was now running, slowly, but running. Her sides heaved as she slowed, this seemed impossible. She had twenty miles to run with a foal in the middle of summer. Suddenly she broke into a canter and didn't stop for about ten minutes, sweat coated her entire body as she stood only a mile closer. Finally she thought about turning back, changed her mind and headed on.

It was midday and she was half there, her brow was heavily dampened and her sides quaked with loss of energy. She stopped by a stream and drank for a long time, laying down she rested, though quite restlessly in the tall grass. Long after, about an hour or so she started off again, only stopping once more before she reached the southern quarter of the territory. She met the beaches and ocean and fell thankfully onto the warm sand, soaking up all the sun. She slept in the waves, letting them clean her sweaty and sore body, both inside and out. She slept on into the night, and the next day.
