ST LOUIS- The St. Louis Blues entered their contest against the San Jose Sharks with a 3-1 record in the UHA's Western Conference. Daniel Corso scored St. Louis' 3rd unanswered goal of the game at 12:53 of the third to give the Blues a 3-2 win. Early, Simon Gagne put the biscuit passed Brent Johnson off a feed from Brad Stuart and Vinny Damphousse. Later in the 2nd, the Sharks then gained a 2-0 lead on a goal by Marco Sturm. Just when you thought they were out of it, Daniel Corso scored 10 seconds later to cut the lead in half.

"We needed a goal. We know that San Jose is a very good defensive hockey club and to come back against them was great," said Jan Hlavac who assited on Corso's first goal.

Mattias Ohlund then tied the game at 2 as on the power play. The game went to overtime as Daniel Corso added his fourth goal of the season.

"I'm feeling more and more comfortable every game," said the Rookie Corso. "It's great to score those two goals, but more importantly we got the win."

The Blues are now 4-1 in UHA season play. The team will next take on the Colorado Avalanche, a team that the Blues have defeated earlier this season. Brent Johnson continued his stellar play as he is currently at a personal 3-0 record.

NOTES: The Blues are still looking to add a center and a solid defenseman. It looks as if the moving of Darius Kasperitus is getting closer and closer by the minute. The St. Louis Blues were snubbed of the service of Val Bure yesterday. A propsed trade that would have sent Daniel Tkzachuk to the Panthers along with a draft pick was shot down as the Florida GM was fired.
