LA - Well, after 8 games of preseason action, the Kings wind up with a respectable 4-2-2 record. After a slow start, the team seemed to be able to put a few good shifts together than parlayed that into some wins.

"It's the preseason, what do you want?" was what we first got out of the LA GM Charowsky. "Would I like to have done better? Yes. Would an 8-0 team like ot have shaved off a goal against? Of course they would."

When asked about his palyers perfromances, he had almost all good things to say. "Theo and Petr played very well andmanaged to mesh at times. D-Brash was awarded some time on the first line and I liked what I saw. I'm not saying that's a permanent spot for him, but it's good to know that he has the drive."

And when asked about Lindros, he got a stone cold look over his face. "He got a hat trick in one game right? That counted for half of his points. I moved him around to see what he'd do for me and I got a little tired of watching him struggle on the ice. I sent him down to the third line for a game, then back up to the second for the game after that and he exploded. The kid needs to be more consistent, but he handled the ice time that he was given with no complaints, even when playing on the third line, and that impressed me. I might have been wrong about him, maybe not. He has a season and a playoff run to make me a believer and add onto the new found respect I just got for him."

Suny days may lie ahead for the LA Kings and that's not just counting the beaches in the summer.
