Subject: -passing by- Author: Dagwood [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 14:57:22 07/23/04 Fri Dagwood had understood Mist's growing size but after quite a long time spent searching for her he sensed with every passing moment he would not find speak to her that day.Knowing he'd probably find her there he went to the area of her den.Striding forward he pauses when he sees the opening to her den when he sees another wolf.He relaxed somewhat when he realized the other's behaviour did not indicate there was any trouble.Loping directly for the entrance his steps are stealthy and he stops upon reaching the den.He hoped not to make his presence known.With building curiousity he peers into the den but sees nothing.Instead other indicators clued him in.Smelling the fresh scent of newborns he cockes his head as he listens for any characteristic noises. He was rewarded with the mewlings and sqeals of little wolves.Automatically his fluffy plume begins to wag and his eye shows a new excitement.As with all wolves he was excited by the prospect of new pack members,but he held a special interest in wolf puppies.He'd never really gotten to know any pups before or gotten to play with them.He'd been only able to watch from a respective distance as puppies made new discoveries.Wolf mothers were almost always suspicious of his interest in their young and he'd never had many friends.He had hopes that with this litter their mother would not be so suspicious of him.Reluctant to leave he turns to go,not wanting to disturb Silver Mist. Slipping back into the cover of the trees he plans to come back.He had not breached the invisible wall that told him not to enter the den,nor did he ever plan to.Instead he hoped to later pass some time listening to the sounds from the den when he could.Silently wishing Silver Mist well he dissapears under blanket of shadows [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ]
