Anything for Geico. I LOVE their commercials. Not the lizard ones, the others. Like the squirrels making the car crash. They are consistently funny and "different". I would love to meet the sickos that come up with that stuff.

The Geico commercial that has the mother running through the streests as school lets out! Now that says something about a mother's dedication, and her inability to catch a cab. -- Lafaux, 14:58:33 07/23/02 Tue

This one is silly, but I chuckle when I see it. The Snuggle commercial that has the porcupine stretched out on some fluffy towels, trying to pass himself off for Snuggles the bear, makes me laugh. -- Lafaux, 09:08:31 07/06/02 Sat

Commercials you'll never see -- Holly, 13:43:44 07/08/02 Mon
Kleenex Cottonelle! It's like a thousand tiny fingers picking you clean!
Huggies Wipes: Because it's your hand. Because it's NOT your poo.
Special K: For fat bastards like you!
Minty Fresh Efferdent: It's not just for crackpipes any more.

I saw this one just the other night. It's for "Progressive", promoting the power of having a good web page at work for you. This woman is at the compter, and on it, she has a picture of her ex-lover. She performs cyber-voodoo on him, and with each click of the mouse, we see what every awful thing that happens to him. The final click goes toward his crotch. -- Lafaux, 09:53:38 07/10/02 Wed

Clickie... -- Joy, 14:16:44 07/12/02 Fri
This commercial that they only used to show on CNN for some reason. I think it was for a big name insurance company. This little black girl is in the bathroom, looking at herself in the mirror as she’s doing a very rhythmic African dance while African music and a voiceover are in the background. There’s a knock at the door and she rushes back to the sink and starts brushing her teeth. Then, when she thinks the coast is clear, she gets back in front of the mirror and starts dancing again. I LOVE this commercial, they don't show it anymore though. Also liked the one a few years back where the man's daughter is getting married and he's remembering her childhood. Awww!!

Ohhh I just remembered one! -- ladyday, 22:21:28 07/14/02 Sun
Can't for the life of me remember what the hell it was a commercial FOR, but the one where they just show all this outdoor wedding footage, shots of the bride, her bridesmaids, a whole flock of little flowergirls, all dressed in white and in the background the song "Thank Heaven for Little Girls" is playing. Anyone remember this one, and remember what the heck it was for? This commercial is about 11-12 years old. I know this because it started airing shortly after my first baby was born (a girl) and made me bawl everytime I watched it.
Never saw that dancing girl one Joy, but what was the connection between her secretly dancing and insurance?

This is a Sears Commercial: The wife is sitting at the kitchen table, reading the morning paper and having a cup of coffee. Her husband enters the room, wearing a tee-shirt and his boxers. He goes to the refrigerator, takes out the carton of milk, and chug-a-lugs it, then makes his way over to the sink to spit it out. The wife very calmly says, "Fridge is out!" -- Lafaux, 19:35:15 07/16/02 Tue

The thing about this commercial is that you get the sense that this bastard does this everyday as a matter of routine. He knows that his wife hates for him to drink out of that milk carton; he does it to spike her. (Did you see that look he gives her just before he gulps?) And she knows that he's going to do it, and never issues a word of warning until he does. I want to give her a huge high five! -- Lafaux, 06:29:51 07/17/02 Wed

Couple of my favorite funny commercials... -- b, 09:53:45 07/24/02 Wed
I love that Sears/refrigerator commercial you guys mentioned below. One of my faves is the granola bar commercial with the blabber mouth kids (my brother was an accident, my sister dresses like a tramp, my mom has a tatoo on her butt). Your kids talk too much? Give 'em a quakers chewy granola bar.
I also like the beer commercial where the couple are at a table in a restaurant. The waiter brings two bottles of Michelob Light (or whatever the beer was) and the chick is like hmmmm, what's the special occassion. The guy then gets on his knees and the chick thinking he's about to propose lights up and starts flashing to images of them getting married. The guy then hands her a spoon that fell to the floor, announcer closes with Michelob Light (or whatever) makes every moment seem special.
And the Budget moving truck guys on roller skates. The dancing is hilarious.

I like the Jerry Rice/Steve Young commercial where Steve Young is on a date but has Jerry Rice there. During dinner, she says "Oooh, it's cold" and Steve Young says "Oh, I'm sorry!" and gets up and removes his jacket, and then places it over the shoulders of Jerry Rice! Jerry Rice looks at the girl and pats the jacket and smiles and says "Warm"...the rest of the commercial goes along that way with Steve Young taking more care of Jerry Rice than his date. Hilarious!
