Subject: Suzanne Clauser is my favorite episode writer

Is anyone else a fan of her writing? I know Michael gets a lot of attention as a writer-director and he's great. But I find Suzanne Clauser's writing the most intriguing.

I don't think I am necessarily more keen because she's a feminist per se...but I do like that she brings balance between the genders to her stories and the women are definitely not just there to prop up the male characters. They have unique perspectives.

But what I really love about her scripts is that the women have power, sometimes the power is magical and called into question by authority figures, but they still have individual powers that really cannot be compromised.

I bet Suzanne Clauser was Pat Robertson's least favorite writer, since he censored several of the episodes she created. But I believe her material holds up best and was ultimately more progressive and forward thinking.

By comparison, I find some of Michael's scripts a little too reliant on violence and shock value...though he is very good at writing for children and marginalized members of society.

Thoughts...?

I mentioned Pat Robertson recently, in the post above...and he just died today at age 93.
