Subject: It doesn't go away

I did a race with my friend Krit today. I was going to try and run with her through most of it. That lasted less than a mile. I was feeling good, I wasn't running fast and there were people in front of me i knew i could pass. so I started pulling away from Krit because I just had to pass one more person ... now, don't get me wrong, my pace was definately slower than we used to do our long runs in, and this was only five miles, but even going slowly, I couldn't shake the need to run up to the next person. I think I've been brainwashed ...

This run was followed by a bike ride, which resulted in me taking a wrong turn and getting a teensy bit lost and adding several minutes to my time ... yeah, that part didn't go so well! ;-)
