This was the episode I ended with the day I got my season one tapes in the mail. So in one day's time I had gotten so attached to Doyle that I bawled like a baby when he died.

I also love Wes and how far Cordy has come since his death but I still think he added so much to the group they had at the time. He really seemed to be able to pull Angel out. Look how Doyle was the one person Angel confided in about what had happened with Buffy and the oracles taking back the day. Now he talks to Cordy like that but back then it seemed to be just Doyle.

I thought this was a strong episode. An underlying message about what hate can do (not unlike "Billy") only this time in a more "nazi" tone having to do with the anialation (sp?) of a race....in this case HUMANS or any halfbreed of.

A nice come back I think from the previous Buffygush....lol

Had to duck out on yesterday's discussion couldn't bring myself to read the transcript for IWRY.

It's funny how I had no emotional investment in Doyle or C/D up until "Bachelor Party" I'm still very bitter with ME that they would get me to like a character just to kill him off : ). I really enjoyed this eppy. It's clear how much Cordy cares about both Doyle and Angel. I didn't remember that Doyle told Cordy about the B/A's day that never was.

Eppy goodness, Cordy continues her emotional growth. Doyle dies a heroic death which brings A/C closer together : ) - always a plus. I liked Doyle in this and missed him in "Parting Gifts". Didn't really like Wes when they first brought him to ATS way to much of a bumbling idiot. Thankfully that was pretty much all cleared up by, TSILA.
