I agree Princess this one was a goody. Very intense but also with some C/A moments. Definately the end scene on the roof top. Already she understood him so well. Even when he forgets that he's not the same person that did all those terrible things for so long....Cordy is there to remind him that he's good now. I think you can see that he appreciates that from her but also the knowledge that if he did go bad again she would do whatever was neccesary to protect herself from him.

CORDELIA
People really do change.

ANGEL
Yes they do. And sometimes they
change back... If the day ever
comes that I...

CORDELIA
(without hesitation)
Oh, I'll kill you dead.

ANGEL
Thanks... ?

CORDELIA
What are friends for?

Kate on the other hand totally pissed me off....lol
WHAT has Angel ever done to her that would make her doubt him now? He's had more than one opportunity to "grab a snack" if that had been his plan. All of a sudden she sees another part of him and she turns on him. ARG....I sure don't miss that woman....lol She's just too much the hard ass for me.

Comments I liked: Cordy being Cordy as usual

Nobody likes a smartass rogue
demon hunter. What do you want Wesley?

wow, you look about half dead.
Which for someone's who's completely
dead would be... kinda neat?

Kind of rude to walk into a
vampire's place of business with
one of those things, don'tcha
think? Could be misinterpreted.

AND MY FAVORITE:
My glamorous L.A. life -- I get to
make coffee and chain the boss to
the bed. Gotta join a union.

While, I can't say that is was very high on my Angel list, I did enjoy the ep. It was kind of dark and distrubing plus we got to see and added dimension to Angel. On BTVS it was portrayed that while he had the Soul Angel was good and Angelus was evil b/c he didn't have the soul. This ep. was the start (at least for me) of the fact that soul isn't an 'do good card' the inclenation, likes, and desires are all present in Angel the soul just helps him (or gives him a reason) to resist.

Really liked the A/C scenes in this eppy. Liked the whole chaining Angel to the bed, some interesting looks there. Loved the roof top discussion at the end of the ep.

Was never a big fan of Kate and, this ep had me really dislikeing her. Also wasn't too thrilled with Cordy's comment to Penn about how Angel cared for Kate more then he knew.

I'm enjoying looking back at these eps. and seeing connections to later eps. For instance in "Billy" I remember a discussion about where A/I got the police scanner from (the one Fred heard that Billy had escaped custody). Now we know Angel stole if from a police car. This is fun! :-)

An ok ep, despite the Angel/Kateness.

Loved the A/C stuff, particularly her defending him to Wesley.

We got to see first-hand the bond between Sire/Childe, too bad it didn't come in handy for S2 when Darla comes back. You think Wesley, Cordelia or even Angel would've seen the signs sooner.

But I thought the A/Kness was so forced. Penn deliberately goes after Kate to get to Angel. And I was rolling my eyes at that "he cares about her more than he realizes" line, too. I was like, "since when?" Kate's feelings for him were obvious, but it seemed like Angel's feelings were convenient. He starts liking her, then bam!, she finds out he's a vampire and loses interest in him. Oh well. Still have to endure "The Prodigal", which is the last A/K ep for a long while.
