Didn't "The Prodigal" air before "The Ring"?

Ok, well I liked the flashback to Liam scenes in "The Prodigal". Um, A/K vibes again, at least on Angel's part because Kate is still freaked about him being a vampire. I did like though, how she was able to put that aside for a little while to ask him for help. Then BAM!, her father is killed. Oh well. Liked the 'security code' scene between A/C.
As for "The Ring", I didn't really like this ep. I thought it was cheesey. We got C/W to the rescue, but they were very cartoonish. But it's nice to see Cordy worrying about Angel.

Re: A Walk Down Memory Lane: The Ring -- Morrigan, 16:08:24 03/19/02 Tue
Didn't remember much of either ep (I think I might have missed "The Prodigal" the first time around).
Read the transcripts and "The Prodigal" seemed ok, I actually liked that flahsbacks with Darla and Liam's family (odd b/c I couldn't stand Darla in S2). We got some A/C stuff but, not too much.
I actually liked "The Ring". Wasn't a great story but, it was entertaining. We got to see Cordy being worried about Angel. Wes did pretty well for himself with the bookie. Altough C/W to the rescue was a bit catoonish. I think this was the first time we meet Lilah.

Ok, just looked at the pics. Am I the only one wondering why Angel wore a tank in "the Ring"? Shouldn't we have gotten some nice shots of the Tat? Now I'm bitter! I need MNA : )

One of the best/cutest parts of "The Ring" I thought was the Cordy/Wes bickering in the beginning.
Cordy's ribbing about Wes's "varied" social life
"every night its wheel of fortune followed by jeapardy and a cup of hot cocoa"
And Wes's comeback about Cordy's social life being "erected on high fashion pumps and a push up bra"
When Angel walked in and quietly asked them "do you two need to see a counselor" I laughed so hard I think I hurt myself. The way Angel can deadpan a line (pun not intended..lol) always gets me.
Let's never forget to appreciate partially naked Angel...we don't get enough of that anymore.

Re: A Walk Down Memory Lane: The Prodigal -- kitty, 19:07:16 03/19/02 Tue
I love "The Prodigal" flashbacks. The scene at the end between Angel and Darla states all the issues he has with his father.
ANGEL
Of course -- I've proved who had the
power here.
Darla takes in the sight of the massacre.
DARLA
You think?
ANGEL
What?
DARLA
Your victory over him took but
moments --
ANGEL
Yes.
DARLA
But his defeat of you will last
lifetimes.
ANGEL
What are you talking about? He can't
defeat me now.
She regards Angel's Father's dead body.
DARLA
Nor can he ever approve of you -- in
this world or any other.
Angel looks at the bodies, takes that in.
DARLA
What we once were informs all that we
have become. The same love will
infect our hearts -- even if they no
longer beat. Simple death won't
change that.
ANGEL
Love? Is this the work of love?
She moves close to him, reaches out tenderly, strokes his face. Not so much condescending as understanding. Not sentimentally, but admiringly.
DARLA
Darling boy. So young. Still so
very young...
Off Darla gazing with gentle humor at her creation and Angel looking back, trying to process her words...
I liked Darla in this ep, its funny because I hate her in S2.
"The Ring" shows how strong Wesley can be when he is needed.I loved how Wesley and Cordy worked together to free Angel.
