I love "The Prodigal" flashbacks. The scene at the end between Angel and Darla states all the issues he has with his father.

ANGEL
Of course -- I've proved who had the
power here.

Darla takes in the sight of the massacre.

DARLA
You think?

ANGEL
What?

DARLA
Your victory over him took but
moments --

ANGEL
Yes.

DARLA
But his defeat of you will last
lifetimes.

ANGEL
What are you talking about? He can't
defeat me now.

She regards Angel's Father's dead body.

DARLA
Nor can he ever approve of you -- in
this world or any other.

Angel looks at the bodies, takes that in.

DARLA
What we once were informs all that we
have become. The same love will
infect our hearts -- even if they no
longer beat. Simple death won't
change that.

ANGEL
Love? Is this the work of love?

She moves close to him, reaches out tenderly, strokes his face. Not so much condescending as understanding. Not sentimentally, but admiringly.

DARLA
Darling boy. So young. Still so
very young...

Off Darla gazing with gentle humor at her creation and Angel looking back, trying to process her words...

I liked Darla in this ep, its funny because I hate her in S2.

"The Ring" shows how strong Wesley can be when he is needed.I loved how Wesley and Cordy worked together to free Angel.
