Can anyone tell me about either of these pageants? Which would you send your girl to over the other. I find the websites for both does not have a whole lot of information. Wondering what you folks know about it! Thanks - Terri.

I know several people who competed at Miss Canada Earth and really enjoyed themselves. So much so they returned. But that is a pageant w/ a purpose behind it. Its not just a beauty pageant. You have to be dedicated to the beliefs of the pageant. I also know one person who competed at Miss Canada Globe, and was not interested in ever returning. She was extremely unhappy. It costs a fortune. And she never received any her prizes that she won. It was a rip off. (NT)Karen15:08:45 08/25/10 Wed
I continue to hear bad things about the Miss Canada Globe pageant, including broken contracts and poor quality. However I hear good things about Miss Earth Canada and have had a couple friends compete in it and they say good things about the pageant. So I would recommend sticking with MEC. I know very little about the Miss Globe Pageant, so I can not comment on that, but in regards to Miss Earth Canada I highly recommend it. I competed in the Miss. Earth Canada pageant in 2007 and had the time of my life. Ronaldo is the man who runs the pageant and he is very nice, you should email him if you have any questions, he is more than willing to help in anyway. The entrance fee is very reasonable and the winner gets a trip to the Miss Earth International pageant in the Philipens, all expenses paid. I also recommend the pageant for the experience as there are not too many contestents in the pageant, which can be overwhelliming if it is your first pageant. I really recomend it, not only is it a wonderful pageant experience, but it is a whole lot of fun. (NT)Miss Friendship 2007-MEC16:54:18 08/28/10 Sat
HI Terri. I competed in Miss Earth Canada in 2008 and I now work as the provincial director for Alberta for this pageant. I highly recommend it myself but if you have any specific questions feel free to send me an email. (NT)3rd runner up/Miss Congenaility/Beauty for a Cause 2008 - Lisa Harrigan17:53:05 08/28/10 Sat
