[ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 20:18:16 09/03/10 Fri Annoucement MTC-W Inc. was the franchise holder of the Miss Teenager competition to be held in Costa Rica this October. We signed contract and paid the entry fee for 2010 months ago. MTC-W Inc. would like to have it known that the girl that is to representing Canada at the Miss Teenager contest is not from us. We had selected a girl to Compete out of our 2010 national finalists but she was declined because she was not the winner of MTC-W. Our Winner was already booked for WE DAY conference in Vancouver and therefore would not be able to attend and they refused to accept anyone else from us. Ailey from SK our Miss Teen SK was a gorgeous 18 year old 5'8 beauty a working model, award winning dancer that we have no doubt would have had a international placement she was TOP 10 at our event. They declined her stating that they would only accept Channing. We believe the girl on the site that the have chosen to go with is from the Miss Teen Quebec TM winner from the Quebec group that produces the Miss Teen Canada TM and Miss Canada TM. This announcement is to just ensure all pageant followers are aware that we are not the organization sending that contestant. We wish the Canadian Representative Good Luck and a wonderful trip. Subject Author Date I was a judge at the recent Miss Teen Canada World Pageant and I know first hand how well Ailey did. She would have been a good representative for the Miss Teenager Pageant. Why would a pageant refuse a contestant as good and as deserving as Ailley. Politics???? It is their loss not Ailey. No offnese but judging the the photos, I think Ailey is far better in print and in person, and her outstanding personality (NT) Edgar 21:23:29 09/03/10 Fri Thanks Edgar, Not sure if it is politics but more along the lines they were insulted. Ailey from what I see is a much stronger contender for the crown. Actually anyone of my top 10 would have been except the shorter girls because the Miss Teenager has a height requirment and seems to be looking for a model type. They are not familar with Pageants in Canada while I tried to explain that it is best if each year I select girl because it is possible that one day I will have a 13 year old who is 5'0 win she would not even qualify for the pageant. But they do not think to highly of me it seems. So they went with another group. Based on their critria I selected someone who would do well. Look at Chelsea she was 4th in MTCW 09 and 2nd runner up at Global Teen.
