Knowing The Beat Goes On

We visualised the scenes
With thoughts acquired
As we both soared toward
The passion required

You would play your guitar
I was drawn to the beat
Minds alike journeyed afar
Yet could never meet

Remember I am a keeper
Of songs played to me
As I penned words in reply
Love written intimately

In those written love affairs
So much we conveyed
Knowing the beat goes on
The songs never fade
