There Must Be A Reason

I had hoped to communicate
The way we used to do
We always shared so much
Long before you withdrew

I'm trying hard to understand
So I searched for a clue
There must be a reason why
Silence is so unlike you

Could there have been a clue
That I had failed to see
Still I am stunned by silence
Wherever you might be

Left in silence to figure it out
Still I could only guess
Perhaps silence was saying
You thought of me less
