I Embraced The Serenity


Here at the end of the day
I stroll the shore alone
As I listened to the sound
Inside a sea-shell cone

Seaweed washed ashore
Along the water’s edge
High upon the rocky cliffs
Birds rest upon a ledge

The waves formed rivulets
Making sandy grooves
A crab is scurrying on by
Sidelong in its moves

With footprints in the sand
I slowly strolled along
While waves ebb and flow
With a rhythm and song

The sky is ablaze in colour
Glistening upon the sea
Sat here neath the sunset
I embraced the serenity
