I wrote the above in a hurry. Poor grammer and spelling. Our house about 1980 was valued atabout $30,000.

Back when I was working for Kennecott Copper, copper was 24 cents. This was in the early 1950's. Then came the regulators and foreign competition.... Kennecott Nevada Mines Division now just a memory... The mill and the smelter
now just a "site." Copper is now about $2.00 and we will likely see a copper coin meltdown as once was the silver.

I later worked at Kaiser Steel in Fontana. Now it is gone; regulations and foreign competition--- there has even been discussion of making Eagle Mountain pit a trash dump.

I also was a industrial arts teacher in Fontana Unified School District. Life Credentual Secondary Education. My minor was in industrial arts... and my choice. Over twenty four years I slowly built a strong welding program. Acytelene and arc. Even MIG. Then in 1990 it was decided that for "Johnnie" to become successful he needed to learn computers. Guess what! My old shop classroom was converted to a regular classroom... not cheap to do. But then who needs to learn how to weld, or use shop equipment. This can be done overseas. Much cheaper. And of course the overseas producers are following very strict environmental regulations... no pollution and safety their priority.

We now live in exciting times. The City of San Bernardino is now averaging a murder a week.... How is your community doing?

Okay--- this forum has been slow... maybe now it will swing
with more participation with gold now hitting $500.

But... I am not negative. I have it good. As it was once said... "I have seen the elephant." Actually, more than one.
