Subject: Mayor of Goler Gulch -Charlie Behrens Passing

My Uncle Charlie passed away this morning at 1am of a massive heart attack at age 78.

For those of you who frequented Goler Gulch may of remembered the kindly ol' gent that lived up on Goler Heights. His Father Julian Behrens moved to Goler Heights in 1931 to work for the Yellow Aster Mining Co. and Charlie attended the one room school house that was in Goler Gulch with my Aunt Marion and turns out many years later they would end up marrying (1997). He lived at Goler Heights from 1931-1998 and hence earned the title of Honorary Mayor of Goler Gulch.

I'm sure glad I got to know him and learned alot about the history of the Mining Camps from him. Gonna miss him.
