I have found gold in these areas using both the xt1800 and LST. I don't find gold every time, but it's there, it has been shallow and it's been deeper. I have found it in the first hour and I have found it the last hour of a three day trip, patience they say, GOLD likes to tease you and wanting more, kinda like a woman, "no disrespect intended to the female species". From what I have been reading on this and other forums, the smaller pieces are hiding from the more powerful machines, do you want more small pieces or go for the more elusive big ones, patience, patience, patience.
