Howdy--- I will only myopically mention my thoughts regarding detecting in what I refer to as western Nevada; one of the three areas you mention as having an interest.

There is or was several GPAA Claims. Just north of Lovelock heading to the E-P diatomaceous open-pit mine is/was the GPAA Lucky-Rose#24 claim. It starts at the cattle-guard.

The Temple-1 is over across the way. Both were listed in the 2002 GPAA Claims guide.

As far as western Nevada detecting. The VLF-types have been popular since about 1980; they are a good choice in areas that are being scraped or in a backhoe operation. More recently--- out in the broad pediments--- it is now the PI-types that are becoming the choice.

There are other areas. For more information on nugget hunting in w. Nevada, send me a short e-mail and I will foreward it to "DUSTI." Dusti and her husband operate the Trading Post at the Mill City off-ramp and know local conditions; the "which and what." Dusti is really into all phases of detecting, from relics to gold.
