Hi Phil,

There are 3 statements that make me a little nervous. One is, "trust me", the second, "it ain't loaded", and the third is "nothing to worry about". Normally the third is something that I hear from my doctor.

It is possible there is some minor software changes that are required to minimize the earth field effects, or maybe there is a little wider range of GB, or possibly to adjust some filtering of power line noise, but outside of that, am not sure what it could be. In any case, don't see any reason for Garrett not to make it public. It is their ball game though.

It is strange how so many American companies try to keep everything a big secret. I guess that is why I like Eric Foster and support his detectors so much. He is very free with information and is willing to help anyone trying to learn. Most exchange of ideas involve specifics. Besides he does make a really powerful PI.

Reg
