The particular nuggets I'm thinking of were definately water worn (or made to appear that way in manufacturing ???), but had cavities with definate "rows" of pointed crystal structures, looking something like the quartz crystals that form inside of geodes. They were very visible to the naked eye once you realized they were present. These particular nuggets also had some quartz inclusions, but didn't look exactly "natural", but to this day I'm not positive whether these were real or man-made.
