Subject: I just purchaced a new MXT and need some advice.

Hi everyone, I just purchased a new MXT. I like to coin shoot and dream about prospecting and finding my first nugget. I had a Gold Bug at one time and only made about two trips up around Maraposa. I only found buck shot and bullets and a few nails. No gold. I tested this detector befor I purchaced it and I am sure it will find small gold as well as operate great for coins. I love this detector.
Can anyone give me some advice on where to go? I live in Porterville Ca. and I could drive to Arizona or Navada or anywhere if I think my chances ar better. Is it wise to just go out to the desert and start detecting? I would be happy just to find a small flake of gold with a metal detector. Have any of you found one with a MXT? Any advise would help.

Thanks, Gregg
