Jim,

I sure am glad to hear the news about gas powered use. I have been looking at several drywashers and have been holding off until it was official before dropping the cash. I didn't want to have an expensive 'yard gnome' to look at.

I have enjoyed our last couple of get togethers emmensely. I can say without a doubt I have learned more about how to read the land and what NOT to do (which is mostly what I was doing) in the short time I have spoken with you than I have in the several years before. I had some of the equation right but most of the time came away without the gold.

Would it be possible to get a list of all the books and papers you have published so I can look for them to add to my library. I find your written info is just as lively and enlighting as talking to you. I am especially interested in the one you just mentioned in the last post, "Bulletin for F.L. Hess's 'Gold Mining in the Randsburg quadrangle, California.'" Where might I find this. I have looked at the Ridgecrest library and they don't have alot on gold prospecting or mining. They can get stuff from other libraries but seem to take weeks to get.

I hope the photos I took will work for you. If I had known you wanted photos for publication I would have brought along a much better camera setup than I did. If you need any other photos, please let me know. I'll be glad to help you out.

I wish I had known about the talk in SB sooner. I have already made plans to go out to Fremont Valley this weekend with a buddy. BTW I got my membership package from PCSC yesterday.

I look forward to talking with you again soon. Remember when your (or anyone from the forum) in the Randsburg/Ridgecrest area give me a email and I can meet you for some hunting, coffee, etc.

Good hunting to all and may your poke be full,

Gene in Ridgecrest, CA
