Hello Bob, thanks for clarifying why you were updating. In your original post you said shorttime and mentioned pounds of gold. Now you mention a few years of making good finds with this machine.

I am having a similar but less dramatic happening also. Three years ago I decided to make an experiment; to quit jumping from machine to machine, but to primarily learn one throughly.

This I did, using one machine for three years has been interesting. Not only did I primarily only use one machine, I only used one coil with it. This familiarity led me to reaquaint myself with a 1990 vintage machine I had used with limited success years earlier with modest success.

I now have utmost confidence in both of these machines; critical in mentally being prepared for successful detecting.

I have a 1954 Chevy Belair in my driveway. A 1915 Model "T" in my garage. My prospecting truck is now 22-years old. I used a Radio Shack Apple II-GS word-processer until recently. Our toaster and mixer were wedding presents--- nearly 48 years ago.

I now think that the operator's skill and knowledge most critical in successful coin, relic, beach, or nugget hunting. I certainly would not sell this machine for something new to me.

Anyone, what is your thoughts??
