Hey everyone,
I know I have posted this as an addy to Steve's post but it is sort of related to what I have been reading (this is with regard to your Garret PI post as well Steve).
I am having trouble coming to terms with why Prospectors are having a dummy spit over detector types and who's is better than who's. These things are just TOOLS and in my opinion it is just a matter of picking the righ tool for the job, weather it is a Garret,Minelab or a forked stick.
To my way of thinking, you find an area that you think has gold on it then you pick the best tool at your disposal to get as much gold as you can from that particular area. And as we all know different areas have different needs, and one of the tricks is picking the right tool for the job. Now, all these detectors all work well, but in some areas some will work differently to others and visa versa. It is with each of us choosing what to use where the real differences are.
I love the way there is information sharing, it is really important for us all to pass on our ideas and experiences to others who are trying to learn what, is a hard game. I am not saying post the GPS coordinates to you favorite nugget patch, but it is great to get views and opinions on new detectors or different ways of working different areas, this feedback is priceless.
I am dissapointed with the small minority that under the cover of anonymity, try to denigrate the good people that post their opinions of new or upcoming technology.
Prospectors are a dying breed and we need solidarity to survive.
Matt
