yea forst day we got there, i couldnt wait, i knew we were outside hours for detecting but told Mick i wanted to walk up and have a look................
so, i did, yep, i was awestruck as well............
I get back to the cabin, and everyone is sitting around chewing the fat, and sharing stories from the past, and I had bought a bottle of "everclear" and HAD to try a drink............and you know Mick, never refuse good free alcohol, so............
we have a drink and i look out to the North, and the sun is just dipping behind the highest peak, and its still very bright and warm out ( it was june 22), and i asked Mick "what time is it, about 8:00 oclock pm?"........
he looks at his watch and laughs, "nope son, its 2:00 am............"

Funny, the sun didnt go down the entire week i was there!!!
