The GMT and Lobo St operate on seperate ends of the spectrum. The GMT uses a Iron ID System based on iron % proability; while the Lobo St as a true 10 knoch disc. mode.

From my experience of owning the GMT and Lobo St, I personally felt the GMT Iron ID System was by far more superior to the Lobo St disc. mode.

The Lobe St disc. mode set at 2 at times would not disc. iron targets like rusty nails and old iron cans, a squack would come through the disc. So if you up the disc beyond 2 you will be disc. gold nuggets out. So it defeats the purpose of looking for gold nuggets.

As where the GMT remains in all metal mode and has a Iron ID System that is always active (without losing depth or sensitive to gold nuggets) telling you the % of being iron and other metals. Once you find a target you can pull the trigger to analysis the target with every passing of the coil while adding information to the Iron ID System; once the 85% chance of being iron is reach a grunt will be heard after the zip zip. Or if you want; you can active the grunt sound by flipping the switch forward while your detecting.

From owning and using the two I truly enjoy the GMT over the Lobo St. I'm able to determine what mite be in the ground far more better than the Lobo St. I have found different metals reaction produce an even and constant reaction on the GMT iron meter with VCO sound in the headphones.

Just my experience.
