Okay Jim your weekend is over. What depth are you getting and how big of a nugget. What I'm asking is--- can it punch down a foot through the overburden and grab a "solid" nugget--- I mean clean with little or no quartz about 1/2+ ounces or larger that may be into the caliche several inches? I'm talking about the broad slope just north of the Rand mountains from about 2900 to 2400 ft elevation. Specifically only 2-3 miles from the General Store.

Just curious? The ground is currently dry and the overburden mostly Atolia Quartz-Monzonite, Rand Schist. Some of the schist very silicious and carries mica and feldspar. I even spotted some actinolite. Quartz can be everywhere. Whatta ya' think? Can it be a "go?"
