Hi Again,

About the best place I found to use the disc mode is in areas having a tremendous number volcanic rocks. Anybody who has hunted such areas knows the constant banging from the rocks makes it almost impossible to hunt.

Well, the disc mode works great there. At least it did with the detectors I was using at the time. I knew I was giving up the small nuggets but by going slow, I also knew I could detect a nugget hidden between the rocks without having to listen to the contstant rock signals.

One could use it in other places but they should know the limitations. Those can noted by experimentation. I am sure there are refinements in the latest detectors to reduce the problems I encountered but some limitations are still there, I am sure.
