My tests, in Mojave Desert soil (as in Goler Gulch soil): standard 950 coil, 1/4 grain IN GROUND. Mini DD Shooter: 1/10th grain in ground (no real depth, admittedly). The GMT finds a bit smaller nuggets; with the standard DD, 1/10th grain, with the Mini DD 1/20th grain. HH Jim
