Paul, Depends what you consider "decent". I have been diggin' for Au since '86 and know a few people who do it full time and to answer your question, for the most part, no. If you lived in Australia, Alaska or a fairly rich virgin region and took an intelligent and hard working approach to it, maybe. I have a place up here where I could mine for 5-6 years and make a pretty good livin', but the local gestapo government(as well as Federal) would never let that happen. Sure, they might 'permit' it, but would set up so many roadblocks, it would be virtually impossible to make it financially feisible...but we do what we set our minds to. --Later, Tracy
