Subject: Fremont Valley Prospecting Trip

Went out yesterday to Fremont Valley with a friend detecting and explored the slopes. Didn't find any gold, but had a great time as the temp was 75 and no wind. Man the quartz outcrops and Rand Schist abounded in quite a few spots.
Did find a old claim with rusted machinery on this creek bed with exposed Caliche, but my Falcon didn't pick up any traces of black sand,Hmm. My friend sez he feels like were blind men without the use of a mag. to locate the Ancient Channel-he's right. Would save alot of precious time too if I had a GMT with it's follow the paystreak feature, kinda neat having two things in one package.

Gene, I think I saw you out there west of us. I'm sorry I didn't stop by and say howdy-will make sure I do so next time! How did you make out yesterday?
