Although this message is not meant for me I would like to encourage all of you so minded, such as Jim McC., Randy, Gene, and other posters on this forum to get together and do a little nugget hunting in a convienent to all location such as the mentioned "Fremont Valley" broad area as an example. However, remember detecting for eluvial gold is not like detecting for alluvial gold; different rules apply.

I have been going into this broad area since early in 1962; first to drywash and later to nuggetshoot.

Good fellowship and possibly a nugget or two, this is what it is all about!

Has anyone seen or heard from/about Willie Merrill, author of "Those Ellusive Gold Nuggets?" I owe him a cup of coffee!
